Volunteering in Thailand



Why volunteer

The main goal of the Hapbits Volunteering Projects is to help disadvantaged people all around Thailand, however specifically in the northeast of Thailand better known as the Isaan.  To achieve our goal, we recruit suitable and motivated volunteers to help us to implement and maintain our various projects. At the same time we assist and cooperate with other organisations to find suitable volunteers as well by linking to their website.

Our projects can be categorized as follows:

Building Projects

Utilizing sustainable and low cost construction materials, we design, build and finance various urgently needed housing, community, medical and educational facilities. These buildings  are built utilising national and international volunteers. Financing is sought through fundraising efforts. If you are interested in sharing your trades or practical skills, if you wish to simply donate your labour to a project or if you are willing to give us a hand with our fund raising activities. Teaching / Instructing

Not only during the Thai school year we, or other linked organisations, recruit, train and place volunteer teachers in small schools unable to afford qualified foreign language teachers. In general there are 2 teaching periods in a year. Adult instructors able to practically teach skills such as woodworking, domestic electrical systems, metal working, sewing, baking etc. are also needed from time to time. Interested?  read on here!
