The catastrophe was briefly mentioned in the news when Bangkok was land under. But again it was soon forgotten. No mention of the many flood victims that have lost all or much of their belongings.
Just to refresh your minds
But our politicians obviously don't see this as a problem, since they have just decided that in 2020 they will think about perhaps formulating a law that will of course not interfere with the suicidal ever increasing growth in production, continueing wasting more precious energy that should be better spend to kick-start the required change to clean energy.Floods in Thailand, Hurricanes in New York, a big drought in Australia followed by the flooding of two thirds of the continent. Tornados in Germany and temperatures of 8° C at Christmas time, floods in South America, a drought in Africa, potatoes in Greenland.
My personal opinion:
Of course we can rely on the foresight of our elected, wise leaders. (Ref. Financial Crisis, Euro crisis) And we can expect that they already have the solutions for the(ir) future in the drawers of their desks.
